Terms of Service

Last updated 5 August 2026

These terms govern your use of this website, operated by Cognivo Technologies L.L.C-FZ ("Cognivo", "we", "us").

This website is informational

This site describes who we are and what we do. Nothing on it is an offer, quote, or contract for services, and nothing on it should be relied on as professional advice. Any work we carry out for a client is governed by a separate written agreement, and those terms, not these, define what we deliver and who owns it.

Using the site

You may use the site for your own business and informational purposes. You agree not to:

  • use it in any unlawful way or for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or to disrupt or interfere with it;
  • copy, scrape, or harvest content from it on a large scale or by automated means; or
  • misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any person or organisation.

Intellectual property

The content, design, logos, and marks on this site are owned by Cognivo Technologies L.L.C-FZ or used with permission, and are protected by law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our prior written consent. This does not affect the ownership of work we deliver to clients, which is set out in the relevant engagement agreement.

Third-party trademarks and technology

Where this site or our materials name a third-party technology, platform or tool, those names and marks are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Any such reference is descriptive, identifying the tools we work with, and implies no affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners.

The technologies we use in client work are used under their own respective licences, which differ from one another. Some are permissive open-source licences such as MIT, Apache 2.0 or BSD; others are copyleft licences such as GPL or AGPL; and some are source-available, commercially licensed or subscription services. Cognivo complies with the licence applicable to each component it uses, and the specific components and licences relevant to an engagement are recorded in that engagement's documentation. A software licence governs source code only; it grants no rights in a project's or company's name, logo or brand, which remain with the trademark owner.

Third-party links and references

The site links to and cites third-party research and websites for context. We do not control those sources, do not guarantee their accuracy, and do not endorse them. Any statistics or findings we cite are attributed to their source and are provided for information only.

No warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind about the site or its content, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cognivo Technologies L.L.C-FZ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top shows when they were last revised.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any dispute relating to them or to the site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
